Children have plenty of opportunity for free play. From the fun of our ''soft play'' equipment to enjoying fortnightly music and movement lessons Hartbeeps, all ages have a choice of fun activities.

Older children are encouraged to experience different media, reading in our comfortable book corner or making use of ICT equipment.

At Fledglings, we are lucky enough to have access to extensive private grounds away from traffic.  The Ducklings children have their own garden with age appropriate toys and apparatus, whilst the Goslings and Cygnets have a larger garden with plenty of more complex toys and climbing equipment on which they can play.  All children have access to the outdoor classroom, where staff will plan and set up exciting and stimulating activities for the children, helping to achieve year round learning and development outside.  All 7 areas of the EYFS are planned for in the garden and outdoor classroom.  Children are free to ride bikes, explore our nature trail or use the climbing equipment in our safety-surfaced playground.
